The Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI) is an autonomous organisation located at Palakkad in Kerala, India. It was established in 1987 with support of UNDP, under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises of India. The flow measurement laboratories at FCRI are a part of National/International standards for flow measurement in water, oil and air media. It is a premier institute rendering industrial services and solutions. Facilities are utilised for R&D and for product evaluation. FCRI has completed more than 150 projects since its inception and is actively involved in the management and control of liquid and gas flow. It has proved its international credibility through several Intercomparison programs with NIST-USA, NEL–UK, NMI-Nederlands, CMI-Czech etc. The facilities are most comprehensive for flow engineering and provide a unique resource for industry in India and abroad. All of the facilities are available for sponsored R&D programs and commercial calibration/evaluation of flow products.
