The LOTUS project’s conclusion is drawing near, to summarize the primary features and accomplishments of the LOTUS project an article has been posted on website of the European Commission CORDIS!  

As explained in the article, the LOTUS project has significantly impacted number of areas, including the cooperation between Europe and India to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, the public health and setting a standard for water quality monitoring that will be of interest to other regions facing similar challenges,  the management of water resources by working with the Indian government to improve the water and wastewater infrastructures in rural and urban areas and the local economy by integrating a local startup (Hydroscope Technology) in the LOTUS sensors exploitation.
